Kindness
In a December 2004 article in First magazine called “Are you turning a blind eye to bliss?”, there are three questions they suggest asking ourselves to determine how in-tune we are with positive events that happen throughout our daily lives:

  • Did you witness someone performing a small favor for a stranger today?
  • Have you overheard a coworker or friend mention a bit of good news today?
  • Did you see someone’s face light up after receiving a compliment today?

They also suggest we program ourselves to pay attention to the “good” things that happen around us. I’m convinced that our constant and active participation in the celebration of kindness is the secret to peace and joy in everyday life.
